Card Room Rules

The following rules apply to all games at For rules relating to tournaments please refer to Tournament
Fair play and adherence to the following rules is required at all times.

Opening a DuckPoker Account
  • All players must be 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your legal jurisdiction (whichever is higher).  Proof of age must be provided if requested by DuckPoker.
  • Players may only use the Services of DuckPoker if it is legal for them to do so according to the laws that apply in their jurisdiction. It is the responsibility of the player for ensuring that it is legal to participate in online gambling from within the residing country.
  • Players are limited to only one DuckPoker account.  Violation of this rule may result in account termination and forfeiture of all deposited funds and earnings.
  • In order to be eligible for real money games, players must provide their full legal name, date of birth and current address (including zip/postal code).
  • Players are forbidden from using any DuckPoker account other than their own.
  • Opening an account with DuckPoker is prohibited if you are a minor.  Routine identity checks may be performed for age verification.  Players under the age of majority in their country of residence found to be using DuckPoker will have their account locked, winnings forfeited, and balance withheld.
  • DuckPoker accepts no responsibility for the quality or speed of the player’s internet connection or for any disruptions that occur on servers or equipment which does not belong specifically to DuckPoker. This includes, but is not limited to, the player’s ISP, player’s internet server, player’s computer hardware, and any third party internet servers or routers. DuckPoker will not be held liable nor compensate players for loss in these situations.
Unfair Play
  • DuckPoker encourages fair play and strives to provide a neutral playing ground for all participants.  Therefore, the following rules governing fair play will be enforced.
  • All forms of player collusion are strictly forbidden. We reserve the right, at our sole descretion, to restrict seating and/or to prohibit players from participation in any game if collusion is suspected.
  • All external player assistance (EPA) programs which are designed to provide an “unfair advantage” to players are prohibited. EPA programs include computer software (other than the game client provided by DuckPoker), and non-software-based databases or profiles (e.g., web sites and subscription services). In this clause an “unfair advantage” is  definedas a situation in which a player accesses or compiles information on other players beyond that which the player has personally observed through the player’s own game play.
  • DuckPoker reserves the right to detect and prevent the use of prohibited EPA programs. These steps may include, but are not limited to, examination of software programs running concurrently with DuckPoker software on a player’s computer.
  • The use of artificial intelligence including, without limitation, “robots” is strictly forbidden in connection with the software and the games. All gaming actions must be executed personally by the player through the user interface accessible via our software.
  • In the event that DuckPoker discovers that a player has engaged or attempted to engage in unfair play, including without limitation, engaging in any of the activities aforementioned or by any other game manipulation, DuckPoker shall be entitled to take appropriate action, as described in our Terms and Conditions.
Time Bank  
  • Each player is allocated a time bank which allows for extra time to make a decision.
  • The time bank depletes as it is used. If a player elects to use his or her time bank, other players at the table will be notified.
  • When it is a player’s turn to act and they fail to act in time, the time bank will be activated automatically under the following conditions:
    • The player is connected to the system when his/her time expire
    • The player has money invested in the pot (blinds and antes are considered as money invested in the pot)
  • The time bank cannot be manually extended or replenished.
Account Security
  • All players are responsible for protecting password and account information.  DuckPoker stongly advises that password and account information never be shared.  Players are also responsible for protecting all computer hardware and their internet connection from unauthorised access and malicious software.
  • DuckPoker shall not be held liable for any losses that result from a security breach with the player’s computer or network.
Live Chat
  • Players have the option for live chat when available.
  • Players chat or participate at chat enabled tables at their own risk.
  • All chat must be in English.  Malicious or offensive behavior, including but not limited to collusion, fraud, spam, and/or harassment, abusive, foul, racist, threatening or otherwise inappropriate chat will not be tolerated.  Players violating this rule may have their account closed and funds forfeited.
  • Players shall not use the DuckPoker chat feature for commercial promotion of any service or product.
  • Chat box “flooding” is prohibited.
  • Chat box spam such as announcements of private tournaments or Sit & Go events is also prohibited.
  • Report any problem chat immediately to Chat privileges may be suspended for players violating chat guidelines.
  • All DuckPoker games use a standard 52-card poker deck, which is shuffled before the start of each hand, and set.
  • In No Limit and Pot Limit games, the minimum bet will be equal to the big blind.
  • The Card Room Rules (including the Tournament Rules) as listed here are intended to complement the Terms and Conditions, not replace them. In the event of a discrepancy between the Card Room Rules (including the Tournament Rules) and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions shall take precedence. In the event of a discrepancy between the Card Room Rules and the Tournament Rules during a tournament, the Tournament Rules will take precedence.
  • DuckPoker reserves the right to alter the Card Room Rules, Tournament Rules, or Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice.
  • DuckPoker reserves the right to terminate a player account, or take any other appropriate action regarding an account, without notice, when and if rules are breached.

 In the event of a dispute, DuckPoker’s management decision will be final.
